Oh one more thing from being a cashier. I got asked like twenty times a day if "I was open." Sometimes I would be ringing up a customer and sometimes I would be standing there looking out into the store for a customer to be done shopping. I don't know if they think I just get paid by standing at a register and tell people that I'm closed.
To be fair, it's damn annoying when people start unloading and you're not open. Maybe you're counting your drawer or going on break once you're done with that customer. I see the nuisance, but it's better than someone starting to unload on your belt only for you to tell them you're closed.
