This isn't Phoenix Wright or a feel-good episode of Law and Order. Most prosecutors aren't going to cast doubt on their own case, especially one that has become so big. It'd destroy his entire life.
What would destroy his life more though? Proof of this guy's innocence coming out before or after he was executed?
