Not really crazy when you think about it. When SF2 changed the fighting game genre, it was most famous for zoning. You know TIGERTIGERTIGERTIGER? 3S reduced that to only footsies. It was no longer SF. Why was SF4 so popular? Surprise surprise! Zoning was back!
