TBH, I'm wondering how the characters didn't pick up on it. Hmm, the Monado doesn't work on sentient life, Metal Face mechon with claws and red lines can't be hit by the Monado, I wonder why. Still loving the game, but that just seems weird to me. I think even if I had only the information that Shulk and party had, I'd still make the connection, maybe not about Silver Face, but definitely about Metal Face.
You knew more than the party. You got a cutscene where Silver Face was being assembled that pretty much spells it out for you.
Also, at least one of your party members did already figure it out. Still, Shulk is supposed to be a smart guy, so yeah, he should have realized before.
