Nah, it's not really a plot twist, just a climax. If you didn't see any of that coming you're dumb..
TBH, I'm wondering how the characters didn't pick up on it. Hmm, the Monado doesn't work on sentient life, Metal Face mechon with claws and red lines can't be hit by the Monado, I wonder why. Still loving the game, but that just seems weird to me. I think even if I had only the information that Shulk and party had, I'd still make the connection, maybe not about Silver Face, but definitely about Metal Face.
