I picked up StarCraft 2 a couple weeks ago but still haven't touched it. Debating replaying StarCraft 1 before I go into 2.
I didn't every play 1 but enjoyed the campaign on 2. I haven't played much online since it seems very timing and memorization specific (very specific build orders and sets) but the campaign at least was good!
Learning build orders and timings is one of the last things you do if you want to learn properly, actually. There's tons of other things that you need to get good at first before they matter at all.
