Stopped reading at the Sonic comparison.
Sonic's been on a massive upswing as of late and Generations hype is extremely positive. MML3 probably wouldn't have been a second wind for the franchise, but this isn't like putting an animal out of its misery. It IS possible to get your act together and make, you know, better and more profitable games.
It's just why bother with an expensive original venture when you can port RE4's minigame for $40?
