so far... i think F/SN has the incredibly unique ability to layer its stories in a way F/Z can't as an anime. and the structure with a clear narrator gave the story focus and allowed for a more exploratory experience. in terms of actual tactics and masters/servants, i think F/Z has a clear edge.


The original F/Z's novel's strength lies in how it portrays Kiritsugu and Kotomine psychologically. Since most of this characterization is done through their internal thoughts, they come across as flat and dull in the anime.
