Exeggutor might not be the pinnacle of Pokemon here, but it definitely didn't deserve to go down before its pre-evo.
Maybe the people trying to be "cute" by saving every Gen 1 pokémon should've been more strategic then. I for one am not going to keep pokémon I don't give a poop about around just because others are saving worse pokémon in "contention" with them. That would mean the lot of them (good and mediocre) would still be here. Basically that's playing right into their hands. To hell with that. :P
