I nearly sliced the tip of my thumb off in high school working at this seafood resturaunt.
I was peeling onions and my boss saw me struggling so he gave me a brand new knife. Got to take it out of the package and every thing.
I found out quickly how sharp it was. First swipe I missed the onion and hit my thumb. The last 2 millimeters of flesh were hanging by a very thin piece of skin while the blood pumped out like a spicket. 8 stitches.
If it's bad enough that you bled for three hours that's gonna leave a gnarly scar. But yeah, hope it heels quickly and without further incident.
And oh yeah, why were you hanging from the towel holder?
