Anyway, if this is considered a tax, this has to be one of the most regressive taxes ever, right? I mean, the wealthy and even the moderately wealthy no doubt already have insurance and are thus exempt. The arguments here are huge, so admittedly I'm not done reading all of it yet.
It is essentially a massive tax levied exclusively on the middle class, particularly against those who are unemployed (or underemployed).
