Because it's just awful. The climax is nonsensical, the pacing is bizarre, the aliens are the most laughable garbage that ever comes through the wormhole, the "allamaraine!" thing gets old super-fast...
Watching that skipping scene where Sisko, Kira and Bashir all say it a bunch of times is pretty amusing, I guess, but for all the wrong reasons.
