I already said that I haven't played CC in years so many of the specifics are lost on me.
But it's not hard to remember strongly disliking both Harle and Kid.
My suggestion, then, is to go play CC again IMO - might as well refresh your perspective on those characters and enjoy a fine game in the process!
If I wanted to enjoy the fine game in the process, I'd have to be playing something else on the side.
