Quick Anecdote: I don't watch wrestling anymore. I tune in for Wrestlemania but that's all I can muster. Its just lost its luster for me. But me and wrestling had an amazing run and I'd like to share with you my favorite wrestling moments.

The Most Important Promo In the History of Modern Wrestling:
Every wrestling fan already knows what this is before I post it. It's the moment the world changed, where wrestling's line between what to cheer for and what to boo became blurred. You can feel it when Vince McMahon wants to say something but can smell gold as Austin makes the crowd fall for him by sheer force of will. You can see he's building towards something, working everyone over slowly but surely. He's building this character up, been practicing it, waiting for this moment. And right when you think he's going to cast himself as another villain who finds his niche being our heroes exact opposite, he drops the line that changed wrestling forever
"You thump your bible and talk about your psalms, you talk about John 3:16...AUSTIN 3:16 says I just whipped your ass!"
Maybe it's the menacing inflection he added to the word "Austin". Maybe it was God-like balls it took to make fun of a religious man on television. The exact reason I may not ever know, but the crowd lost it. Not in a over-zealous pop, but in a smattering of cheers that were completely unfiltered and uncontrollable. Austin made people cheer him even though they didn't WANT to. Wrestling would never be the same.
