lots of defense going on from both of you - is T Hawk in 4 like Chun in 3s where all her good options are defensive ones? I know I have to play pretty patient against a player who knows what they're doing in 3s and it seemed like you guys were both hesitant to get up close. same kind of deal?
The THawk mirror is kind of weird in that both guys want to get up close, but if you do the wrong thing, you're screwed. You either have to get in first and guess right or respond to the other guy going in and attack. Jump-ins and condor dives can be stopped by Thawk's uppercut, HP, and a few other moves. If you mess up block strings, it's a free 360 throw. Certain blocked normals, and a blocked spire (except from max range) can result in a 360 too.
I ended up taking two of three from guy, which made me glad as he's one of the top THawk players out there. Early on, he was finding a bunch of good stuff and posting it on SRK and I actually learned a decent amount from him.
