her issue - as with most feminists, if I can generalize - isn't physical beauty or sex, and I'm not sure how you could come to this conclusion unless you completely ignored her video, summary, or context of the images. no sane person - and no, feminists aren't insane, stop trying to demonize them - cares about 'just' beauty or sex. sarkeesian will focus on how sex is the defining characteristic for many females in games (and i'm sure she'll focus on many other areas, as her video lays out). it's nauseating, sure, but not for the reasons you're implicating.

it'd be kinda neat if she used this to fund some small little game that deconstructs some misogynist stuff or whatever.
Someone tried to do that earlier this year with JRPGs, but the project was horribly misguided. the creator of that kickstarter later insulted Tim Schafer and backers of DFA as being part of the problem, or something.

If anything the amount of harassment that the lady got after her kickstarter took off sort of proves to me that gamers are ridiculously insecure about this. Not that it really needed proving!
