Book 2 finished.
I decided to power through the last two battles. Wasn't really having much fun with the game anymore, so I got impatient. Rather than do the sensible thing and have Claude fly around to grab the treasure chest, I marched my whole force forward, and stalled the boss until I got the chest. Whoops. Turns out my healing couldn't keep up with him. Slade, Randolf, and Rohde all died to bolt spells before I got the White Ring and finished him off. He ended up killing three times as many characters by himself than the entire rest of the game did by themselves!
Nick, Rush, and Gyan (Eric might have been a better choice, but I didn't see a reason to risk an underleveled part 4 character.) joined the force for the final battle. Luckily, Iom was pretty dumb and decided to physically attack instead of demon breath most of the time. Didn't end up being a very eventful battle.
