Basically, I wanted to get a Mechanical Engineering degree as I was working towards it previously and figured I'd finish up in the same field.

The school I transferred to took 82 credits (out of a possible 95), however only 47 would transfer towards an ME degree. On the flip side, all about 6 of the credits would go towards Applied Mathematics (and it appears to be the Major that would take the most credits).

So I don't know a lot about the viability of it as a degree. I assume it's not as good as an ME degree (which is very frustrating) but I'd hate to have to do over 80 credits when I'm listed as a junior right now.

So any advice would be helpful. I'm contacting the school to see if there's anything that could be equivalent (for example, there's two classes that are Introductory to Physics 1 and Introductory to Physics 2, and I have Physics 1 and Physics 2 equivalents, so maybe they can just apply those to those introductory classes), and I'd hate to not be able to get the major I wanted, but I also don't want to go to college for another 3+ years.
