I didn't like that joke it because it was so obvious that he would get it. I mean, who wouldn't get that? It was such a weird analogy to make in the first place (something with a monkey??)
Not just any monkeys- flying monkeys. Like that guy above me said it's an Oz reference- a movie that was released in 1939 a few years before Cap Am got frozen for seven decades. He was excited to actually get a modern reference that someone else didn't. I thought it was cute. A little cheesy but cute.
it felt like they forced that into the conversation just to be able to make that joke.
I do kind of see where you were coming with this, but all the same I enjoyed it despite it not feeling like natural dialogue.
