My mind is still kind of brain dead from staying up way too much this weekend, have a single song update:
66. Savages – Nominated by ???
This song has some slow moments but the overall message of the song is really good. This song may have been higher if I liked the singing much of all. This song really does a lot to speak to the human condition of both war and what makes people come into conflict with one another. Both sides think just about the same thing about each other and this leads them to be able to demonize the other side and it is really just completely sad. But yeah I don’t really enjoy listening to this out of context even though it is pretty good while watching the movie. Songs like this are what make Disney awesome though, so unafraid to examine some pretty hard issues in movies.
