Also, you have to keep in mind that as a Blues fan, you will ALWAYS find their wins exciting. I feel like I have some authority to speak on this as I was supporting the Wild during their run in 2003, and they had just about the most boring team ever assembled. It was exciting TO ME because I was a fan and I saw it as a pluck underdog triumphing over the entire world. I'm sure it was exciting to Avs and Canucks fans who stared in disbelief as a bunch of nobodies defeated their all-star laden teams. The REST of the fanbases in the league probably didn't even bother watching because Lemaire's trap was so boring and devastating to the growth of the fanbase that they literally re-wrote the rulebook to get rid of it.
