What do you classify as boring hockey? Kings have about the same system as we do. Get the puck on net. They're usually very aggressive and physical. And from what I've seen it's pretty much the same with LA.
And you can't think MORE GOALS is more exciting because Kings are low scorers as well.
Well, this year was an EXTREME anomaly for the Kings as far as that is concerned. Their young core came up in the NHL as bright, offensive stars. Carter and Richards were offensive stars in Philly. The entire narrative this season has been "When will these clearly offensive guys in LA find their rhythm?"
And as far as the SERIES being exciting goes, credit goes to the Canucks for keeping it competitive.
In any case, I feel the Sharks/Blues series has been the least competitive of all. It also seems to me that it's been more about the Sharks failing and generally playing poorly than the Blues playing particularly well. Now, I've only watched two games of the series, so you may very well have a better read on it than me, but that's just what I've seen so far.
