It seems like they just didn't take very good care of him. He's pretty thin, and my mom said she pulled at least thirty ticks off of him and still hasn't gotten them all. He's pretty nervous, too.
Poor little guy, even if his owners treated him badly, he must still be feeling weird abandoned by them. Still, he's pretty lucky to have a new and better owner now. Hope he gets better and everything goes okay!
