Melatonin for sleeping.


God dammit I was beaten to the punch. I've been on melatonin for the past month or so and it's the ****. I have no trouble sleeping, but it makes my lucid dreams more vivid so I'm really digging the stuff. It's basically like living out the day which is average to awesome (I'll say more on this later) and then getting to be in a movie when I sleep. I wake up feeling super refreshed, yet excited as well because I basically just went through some crazy story while I slept. It's damn cheap too.

But as others have said, this drinking has got to stop. I'm all for mindless self indulgence (it's my philosophy, really) but if you aren't enjoying it, you know it's bad for you, and you feel that you need to do it, then just ****ing stop. You don't need anything to make you happy, or numb you to your feelings. If this is actually clinical depression, get help. If you're just feeling down for whatever reason, help yourself.

It's late and I can't get too much into this without it sounding like some hippy bull****, but you're in control of how you feel. You don't ever have to feel terrible about your situation, whatever it is. If this is going to "work itself out" you're going to have to think about what it is that is making you feel this way, and why it has you so depressed. Alcohol will not solve anything. If you're going to turn to drugs to improve your mood, use the right supplements. Start taking 5-HTP, start waking up early, go outside, enjoy summer.

Augh. I hate talking to people in this way, but dependence on anything just ****ing disgusts me. You don't ****ing need it. You don't need anything. Have some goddamn faith in yourself.
