Before Modern Family, Ed had a show that completely bombed, much like Faustino did.
I think part of it is, when Married With Children ended, O'Neill was 51 while Faustino was 23. More to the point, O'Neill had played AL ****ING BUNDY, while Faustino had merely been Bud Bundy. Even if neither of them ever worked again, O'Neill would have to be considered far more successful.
