but holy god damn crap, I've never had a dream before that made me feel so terrible

it started out with me starting a band, then I found some mentor dude and we got really big and famous, then flash-forward to like March break and I go back home and all my pets died and my mom is like really sick and she comes up and tells me my dad died a month ago, on my birthday, and then I start freaking out and start going "What the hell has happened all this time?! I can't even remember anything!", meanwhile my mom's making me feel more guilty on how I've been on my own with the band and not paying attention.... then she says ".... but the zombies"......... and I instantly realize it's a dream and wake up.
