If you go to that gps location, and if your car is also there, and it is sitting out in the open, and you call the police from nearby and tell them you are there and about to get your stolen car, they will send a police officer to that location with you, end of story.

I think this is what I'm going to do tomorrow. My phone hasn't moved all afternoon, they may have dumped it.

If you're in the states freeze your credit now. Like literally, now. Get credit monitoring. Any suspect accounts or inquiries dispute immediately. Report every incident to the police and keep adding to your police report.

Also report any of your government identifications stolen and get new ones. If you have any other IDs in there report them stolen as well and get new ones.

Report credit cards/debit cards stolen immediately and have them cancelled.

I just did this as soon as I saw your message. I froze my credit on the 3 big ones: Equifax, Transunion and Experian. Should I leave it at that or freeze the lesser known Unions? There are 2 lesser known small ones I believe. They only stole one debit card and one drivers license. I already cancelled the debit card, and I will go to the DMV tomorrow to report my Driver's License as stolen. You're saying I should do this for all my ID's regardless?

I lost my job recently and I haven't been in a good place mentally. I haven't gone out in months. My buddy suggested that we go out and just let loose, with good intentions just to have fun. He was trying to cheer me up.. My friend ended up befriending 2 women that night. They invited us to come drinking with them after the bar closes. My friend agreed and so he took their phone number and followed the address they gave him. When we got there, no one was there. We waited about 5-10 min and thats when 2 males approached us, held us at gun point, and took everything from us.

If this is real you're going to want to monitor your credit reports, they will definitely try to take out credit with your identity

It's things like this that really worry me. This is why I made this topic, what other things should I be aware of? And is there anything I can do to prevent them from opening up credit lines?

So far I planned on replacing all of the locks in my home so they can't enter if they follow my address. I set my iPhone as lost so it's under a full lockdown, maybe I should erase it in case they're able to jail break into a modern iPhone? But then I lose all of my pictures and memories I have. The 3rd troubling thing is my car keys. I have keyless entry, so even if I change the physical locks, they can use unlock button on the keyless entry to open up the car. If they come to my address they can try and steal my car that way. Maybe the dealership can create a new keyless entry? So it uses a brand new signal that is not accessible to the old keyless entry device.

This is a really scary thing and I hope that this never happens to any of you. I'm basically a target as long as I live in my home. If I try and follow them via my iPhone tracking, I run the risk of them retaliating and coming to my address. It's such a disgusting and sad world I live in, I've had a really difficult year and this has really just sunk me.

They didnt interview you? Didnt take any statements? You make it sound like you walked up to the cop, told them you got robbed, they dispatched a cop, and then they let you go on your way.

What is wrong with you man? Do you not understand how police functions? Whenever you approach the police with anything, they do a thorough interview and take as much info as they can from you. Why would anyone assume that the police just skipped that part. Common sense doesn't need to have every detail explained.

Did you contact the police?

Of course. We ran to the nearest gas station and a police car happened to be there. We told them the robbery happened a minute away, they dispatched a car to the location and that was the last we ever heard...

As soon as I got home I tracked my iPhone via the cloud on my Laptop, and I know exactly where they're at. I contacted the police and they said "thank you we"ll look into it". I literally know where my phone is at, but they have a protocol they have to follow and I guess they're not allowed to just storm the location. Which seems disappointing, but I'm not a police officer so I won't pretend to know their job.

When something is legal, its around the kids. That means it can make its way to the household, where kids reside...

When something is illegal, it predominantly only occurs as an adult, 18+. For example, a woman probably never saw a prostitute in her home growing up because dad could never buy one. But when she became 18 and moved out she chose to do prostitution. I am perfectly okay with that. Once youre 18 you can go off into the world and get yourself involved with as much stupidity as you want, just dont expect me to support you or have a voice for you when bad shit happens to you.

But as a kid... Its wrong to force you to see shit because its now a normal part of society.

And it was specifically rape apparently that dropped.

Yes, lowered rape cases is obviously going to happen because these sick assholes are getting their dick put inside of a prostitute, thats not hard to believe. Im sure theyre abusing the prostitutes as well, but they take it and dont say anything to cops after being beat because they need the money. Its a sick fucking business and I do not tolerate it or respect those who engage in it, there is a reason its illegal in practically every civilized nation.

The above poster said they accidentally legalized prostitution, how do you accidentally sign and print any law? And then STDs went down? What the fuck is this guy talking about? Prostitution means more sex, more sex led to less STDs?? STDs are brooding in the prostitution community, have you ever watched a documentary on one? If common people started breeding with them because its legal, they would contaminate the rest of society. You sleep with a hooker and get HIV or Herpes, now you sleep with two girls over the next year: those 2 girls sleep with 5 people each over the next year. Those 5 people sleep with multiple people I mean it never ends.

You could be a good kid, never had a girlfriend and you dont go out much. But some individual fancied you into a date and impressed you and you went with it. But just because that individual fucked a hooker some years back because it was legal and all of them did it at a social party, now this innocent kid has an STD.

If you have a newer house, usually the Ethernet jacks will connect in a smart panel or structured wiring panel that is most often in the master bedroom closet or the laundry room.

It often looks like a white metal plate that you unscrew and inside youll find the Ethernet cables to each room.

You would have to buy an Ethernet switch (usually theres an electrical outlet in the smart panel) and then connect the Ethernet jack to your router to one port and then the Ethernet for your bedrooms on the remaining ports (often the cables are labeled in black sharpie as to what room they go to)

I looked everywhere for this.. I became really upset because I couldnt find it. I know my home has the smart-hub-cabling because every single room has an Ethernet port. I just couldnt find that master control panel. I looked in my master bedroom closet and I looked in the garage breaker box and I looked in the laundry and attic as well.

However you pointed out that it might be closed? Its something I might have to unscrew. If thats the case then I need to take a second look. Sigh.

I bought my first home recently. So I bought gigabit Internet as my treat to go with it. But I couldnt receive 1000Mbps over WiFi, so I knew I had to get hard wired upstairs to my bedroom, which is where my PC and Xbox are. Interestingly, All of the upstairs bedrooms in the house have Ethernet jacks on the walls, but for some strange reason I couldnt figure out where is the main Ethernet jack in the home. If I connected my router to the main Ethernet jack, then all of the bedrooms upstairs have cable wired gigabit internet.

After looking in the garage, attic, living room, etc... I gave up and bought a 100ft cat7 cable off Amazon, and I ran it upstairs to my bedroom. Its a little embarrassing and I have to explain all my guests why I have a cable across my beautiful wooden floor

Second, why the fuck did the cop shoot him when the suspect had his hands in the air? I thought they undergo training for this stuff. He literally pulled the trigger out of nerves, he wasnt being attacked... Horrible police officer, and horribly stupid civilian.

Best way is to get over it and let them. It only matters if tou broke up cause she did something bad like cheated on you.
Why and how did you break up?

If you guys just didn't vibe, get over it.

Did this girl do something horrible to you when you broke up? Like, is she a bad person?

She said some really hurtful things to me.. She would fight with me all the time and she pushed me away. So I did the right thing, I had to let her go so that I could live a toxic-free, happy life. A very difficult decision. What has happened now is that she is trying to get in between my friend and I to try and make me jealous probably. She is crazy... She is upset that it didn't work out, so she got revenge on me by approaching my buddy? Why would he even accept her friend request? They're both snakes in the grass.. And I'm about to clean the garden.

Every time either of them post a picture, they both like it. I feel like theyre talking behind my back and its a really shitty thing to do. Would you assume what Im assuming? Or you wouldnt find this a big deal?

I feel that I am not happy with my life because I always wanted to be wealthy. I should have pursued wwe/ or acting. Instead I went to college. I finally realize I would rather be poor with a shitty job but at least attempted it. Now I sit at home, almost 27, not sure if its even worth trying.
