If you read the Bible in its entirety it makes perfect sense. God had to establish His authority and make a name for Himself. He had a plan from the beginning. The Old Testament is a set up for what happens in the New Testament. It's a backdrop. It's important to see where everything started. God is a big picture kinda guy. A thousand years to him is like a millisecond to us. Some things we aren't meant to fully understand.

You have to dig for this interpretation yourself. It's too easy. All you believe is that it was a power play? It sounds like you'd sweep anything under the rug because "we're not supposed to understand everything", anyway. That sounds like blind faith. It sounds like the classic example of believing your version of Christianity that you have interpreted for yourself, rather than what everyone else believes. It's too convenient.

But honestly, none of it really matters when the entirety of the bible was touch-and-go and people interpret it any way they want to make it fit their whims.

Anyway, one of my favorite parts is God "cursing" the snake to lose its legs as a punishment for manipulating Eve, even though it was Satan in snake-form, not just some snake who was bored and wanted to stir the pot.

I guess for me it's music and not poetry or prose for a reason. A pretty voice and catchy tune are more vital to music than lyrics. Lyrics are supplementary, melody and sound are essential.

I'm not talking about lyrics only, though. I like bands; people that actually play music.

Too many female singers hide behind ghost writers and producers and take all the credit. It's just not about the music to them.

And I'd argue lyrics are just as vital a part of the art. If you have something to say- something important enough to sing about- then do it right.

But that's just it. It's not from the heart. It's not expression. They're just doing their jobs. And that's fine, the music industry won't change, but I'm just not about that.

This girl has to know how much I care about her by now, but sometimes she ignores me, belittles me, lies to me, or doesn't take me seriously. But then other times we talk for hours and she really seems to like me.

It almost seems like she's got a split personality. I try to talk to her about how I feel and what our relationship even is, but she acts like I never even said anything. I don't want to be strung along by someone who isn't genuine, but I also don't want to be lonely again... I haven't been excited to talk to someone in a long time, and I feel like we've really connected, but... I dunno. Sometimes she's super talkative, and other times she's a complete clam.

I've been direct. I've told her how I feel and I've asked if I was wrong to put so much stock into whatever our relationship is, but she doesn't say anything. I've asked if I should reel it in and give her space, but she doesn't respond to that either.

I don't know why I like girls like this. Maybe it's like a challenge, or maybe I like danger, I don't know. I just want to impress her. I want to get through her shell and show her someone cares and she's not in it alone, but I just can't get a read on her. She's like a brick wall once things get personal.

Maybe she just doesn't know how to act, or doesn't know what to say, but I hate sitting around wondering if I fucked up.

Anyway, just venting, CE. It hurts to leave stuff like this in your head. Thanks for listening.
