Not 100% what you're trying to argue here. An FBI study showed that 38.9% of violent offenders were arrested again within the first year of release. (https://www.bjs.gov/content/pub/pdf/18upr9yfup0514.pdf) Before that I was talking specifically about nonviolent felons though, who you could say have no recidivism rate at all since they've never hurt anyone physically before. Recidivism applies to all crimes. Not just violent crimes. |
