Had family stuff going on all weekend so I couldn't play.

My guild which I joined via random invite spam during my first week eventually made me an officer just because the GM and main tank enjoyed running dungeons with me. I have been the laziest officer ever. It took me like a month to even join the discord and I only posted in it the day I joined.

I wonder how long I can maintain this status without doing anything.

Rebecca - no enemy can reach
Merlinus - multiple in range but only a single space so at most 1 hit (the peg. knight who goes here dies to rebecca the next turn)
Priscilla - only 1 shaman can hit, not dangerous
Bartre - can potentially be hit by 3 pegasus knights but worst case he lives with 4 HP
Lyn - taking a ride with Kent
Eliwood - has a lancereaver

I literally just learned you can take advantage of the trade action to change which weapon a character has equipped after they've already taken their turn, by just taking the item you want them to equip and then giving it back in the first slot.

This...should have been obvious. And yet.

Wow I just looked at my next matchup and the team is such a dumpster fire that I'm probably not even going to bother getting a TE to fill in for Ertz.

Is it their combined levels or their combined experience gained after joining your team?

Cuz like, technically Serra and Lucius are on my team. Technically Dorcas and Raven are on my team.

Looking at the pirate ship map, I feel like I can just put Hector and Kent at the top of the stairs and it won't be too bad? Some pegasus knights will come in from the side but I shouldn't have much trouble against them with bartre, rebecca, and priscilla.

My crappy team is officially out (well, 99.99%...) so at least I only have one team to focus on now.

My winning league has been so...easy and weird. Like I just drafted an average team that doesn't look scary on paper but somehow they've managed to evenly disperse their random boom games so I keep winning.

QB: Rodgers (very sub-par start to the season, fantasy-wise)
WR: Adams (missed 4 games), Allen (amazing start, average since), Sanders (lol he's great now?), Tate (was suspended to start season)
RB: Gordon and Ekeler (lol), James White (consistency king), Latavius Murray (two random stud games when I needed someone), Carlos Hyde (just a nice reliable Flex/low RB2)
TE: Ertz (decent, just boomed but hasn't been amazing and a little disappointing)

Somehow this team is 7-2 and 4th in points out of 12. I feel like I've accidentally used a cheat code or something

if you can get the Sleep staff in 17x (admittedly this is not an easy thing to get without Florina since you have to risk the middle group going hostile) you can try to have Priscilla put him to sleep to buy you a few turns (just surround him on the turn he wakes up to keep him still, since he can move immediately after waking up)

Nice tip. After doing my homework, getting the sleep staff was easy. First, clear out all the aggressive enemies. Then, have someone in position to talk to Fargus (5 spaces away). With two mounted units, you can hit both of the inner villages in one turn, which aggros fargus and his lackeys, but then you just complete the chapter before your turn is over.

Do you all think recruiting Legault will be difficult? I don't recall anything about what he does when left to his own devices.

...I have a light rune. From chapter 17. When and where do I use it to maximize the advantage? I figure there's probably some way I can leverage it into being worth more than the 400g it sells for, given how damn useful it could potentially be.

I'm debating whether Lyn is even worth trying to use. Nothing to do with her stats, I just mean given that using her might be difficult and the chance of an instant game over isn't very appealing.

Game over based I think favours Sain even more than Kent. Kent's shitty luck makes him face a risk of death by crit a lot more frequently.

Bartre had one level that was only speed (not super mad about it) and another that was HP, Str, and Spd. Rebecca got Str and Spd both times (and others I don't recall). Priscilla had awesome level ups too, getting 4 or 5 stats both times

Couldn't quite manage to save all 3 soldiers. Only got 2. The fact they literally suicide into archers that double them is really annoying lol

Oh and Bartre got two Speed levels in a row! How about that.

With Kent I was able to get the Knight Crest by trapping the thief in the room with it

Submerged is super chill. It's just pure exploration with some background story unraveled as you go. You literally can't lose.

All of us are struggling as expected so I wouldn't be surprised if we do ultimately agree to just say let's all play to the end and fewest resets wins, with people having the option of tapping out if they wish.

I thought we basically agreed on that already, but then it wasn't in the draft of the rules and I just let it go

Alright, chapter 16 routed. That actually got very scary for a minute. I spent no joke about 20 minutes thinking about a move before committing.

I didn't have enough urgency in getting Kent over to the group. Almost cost me. I knew the cavaliers were coming from the top left around turn 9, and I though I'd be able to cut my way out of that corner in plenty of time. But more of the central units move west than I realized, and I got into a super sticky spot, largely thanks to the fact Bartre gets doubled by those cavaliers (and mercenaries from the center.

Need to do some research before I seize the gate to determine exactly what to do with these funds....

I can only reset 1 more time. After that I'm out.

Lmao I just game over'd turn 1.

Lyn, on a forest, got hit by a max range ballista and a pegasus knight javelin.

And, before you calling me dumb for putting her in range of the ballista, I know, I know, I know. This was so stupid. The only reason I put her there was because I accidentally left Sain within the range of the ballista without realizing it. I noticed my mistake and was like "well in the spirit of the challenge, I'll place lyn at max ballista range on a forest which is like pretty much zero chance of a hit". So that a non-roster character wouldn't get attacked.

And because I was doing that ballista thing I didn't even think to check that the pegasus knight had a javelin.

What an epic fail.

Hm, Kent already has A in swords and lances. I guess I probably S him in...lances? Only other lance user on my roster is Vaida.

I did get him to 20, yeah. I mean it's pretty simple. From the moment he's in the party, he gets every kill lol. Only exceptions being a couple kills in chapter 4 and a couple kills in chapter 9. He had ~120 kills total

I guess I just send Hector down with no vulneraries to start.

Oh god there's a thief in chapter 16 why. That's actually terrifying lol.

I just figured my life would be easier if I had higher hit chances all the time.

If Hector can't get hurt too badly by the guys in the next chapter, I'd just take his weapon away and stick him on the throne and just wait out the clock. Then you'll get to Kent and the gem without using any resources other than a few vulneraries.

I did this. Just sat on the throne and took 0 damage. Pretty hilarious if you picture how miserably their assault is failing.

I almost softlocked and lost after getting to the village because hector got trapped and nearly ran out of axe uses. He was down to 4 when he thinned them enough to move.

I also trashed the wolf Beil when it got down to 4 uses because Erik got in there sooner than I expected and it wasn't worth missing the horseslayer drop

I got her, but I had to reset once. And yeah no erk/goddess icon I think that was impossible without losing Priscilla

So this will be tough moving forward. At least I get Kent back and a red gem. Well, in two chapters anyway

I don't think I ever take Eliwood or Rebecca here.

Hector can't protect them since he has to hurry up to make sure Priscilla gets saved. If he didn't have a majorly important objective like that, then I could afford to have him babysit.

It's difficult to imagine an attempt where Hector gets to Priscilla in time and none of my other characters die.

Bartre might be doable. Tons of lance users. But even the wimps do like 7 damage to him, and I can't exactly afford to be churning through vulneraries. There's no accessible fort on this map. No mountains either.

Though that means having to keep Erk alive too hm.

Well maybe not. I could probably free up an inventory spot for hector to hold it.

Hm I need to see if there's anything I need out of this armory that I won't be able to get for a while.
