I also feel like a CVT is a step backwards in both reliability and fun in terms of auto transmissions. It feels like driving a car with a slipping clutch and depending on the manufacturer they have a significantly shorter life than a regular auto.
My car has a CVT and I really dislike it, it constantly has shifting issues and all I can do is send it to the dealership for software updates (that only work for a few weeks) or spend a few grand to replace it

I think it's funny when manufacturers program their CVT to have "shift points" to mimic a conventional automatic

For the record, Fenriswolf rabidly defends the CCP on the Politics board, between posting pro-China topics or fiercely responding to anything deemed critical of the government.

In other words, even when they post something that has the slightest bit of truth, it's always a bad faith tactic.

Amazingly, he accomplished in a single term what takes experienced politicians twice the time. He will go down in the history books as the greatest reluctant President since George Washington.

It's okay, Lorenzo doesn't understand that he's already paying for other people's health care through his own private insurance, because that's literally how any form of insurance involving risk pools works

Besides, the most essential form of health care already is a right, in that you can't be dragged into a hospital on the brink of death and be denied treatment due to ability to pay. I'm sure his gripe is about "non-essential" care for others, which again, if he has insurances he's already paying for it (plus the vast legal fees the teams of attorneys charge to try and deny that care in court lol). So that argument is moot as well

You're paying out the nose either way, the difference is whether that money should be used to actually treat people, or to only treat the healthy and wealthy and otherwise get funneled into the pockets of the board and shareholders

Growing up I stayed with my granddad every summer and he lived in Tom's River NJ and his backyard was like 20 feet of polished stone, a dock, and a water strip that led out to the Atlantic. He was like 5 minutes from the beach. He had 4 crab baskets tied off from his dock and we would have blue crab nearly every day. It's a lot of work for a little bit of meat but it was such a great experience.

Nice. We're down in the Northern Neck region of Virginia, where the Rappahannock River feeds into the Chesapeake Bay and turns brackish. We're also right down the road from an oyster fishery and restaurant, so you can get fresh oysters almost anytime you want. They go out almost every day to pull their catches to shuck and prep, nearly bay to table. Soooo good

I'm definitely burnt lol. We did go fishing, but that was just for bait for the crab pots. Had a good 20+ that we cooked up for a late lunch. My fingers have all the little cuts you get from pulling apart the shells
