I haven't played further since my previous post, but I was having lunch and thinking during it

Monokuma said something about the kids being 'humanity's hope'. That suggests whatever's going on in this school is relevant to the outside population. The windows are sealed off to prevent communication with the outside world and in particular, you can't get recent magazines into the school. There's also cameras everywhere.

What if the cameras aren't just for Monokuma's benefit? What if it's a Truman Show type situation where everyone is watching along? That would explain Monokuma's comments, since it'd be shocking to watch kids murder each other, and the lack of new magazine issues, since newer issues would mention the show.

Also, after Kyoko mentioned having something done to her body, in the first moment when I saw Sakura and Monokuma fighting, I thought Kyoko had become a vampire and it was her fighting Monokuma that I saw <_<

So my gut instinct was right about Celeste, but I didn't realise Hifumi was in on it.

I was impressed by her plan and her calm once she'd accepted her fate. I'd also totally join her bodyguard/butler harem >_>

Kyoko has something wrong with her body and told Makoto something the player doesn't find out. He goes to a secret place she tells him about and gets attacked; it's hard not to suspect her. Then it turns out Sakura was the traitor, but refuses to be so any more. The overall plot is definitely starting to get interesting

In all honesty, I'd prefer if people don't bring up spoilers at all until it's no longer a spoiler for me, if that's possible. I have really bad self control with these things >_>

I'm not gonna start the trial this evening, I don't think. But I have gathered the evidence and I'm currently just trying to make sense of it

I don't believe it was Yasuhiro. My gut instinct is telling me it may have been Celeste, since she's roughly the same height and could have been lying about when/how Hifumi disappeared. However, it's probably more likely that he woke up, wiped his own glasses and left. Somehow he made it onto the third floor, where he was killed. Maybe he died in the repository while trying to get the note from Kiyotaka. That would explain why the hammer was washed: in order to disguise that it had been used. It would have had blood on it. That said, I'm not sure how that theory works with the timeline of where everyone was at what time

I'm not sure whether Hiro's writing is neat like the note or messy like the blueprints, but I think it's more likely to be the former. That would mean whoever made the blueprints also wrote the note Hifumi had.

I'll sleep on it and maybe think of something by tomorrow when I do the trial. I do believe the complete murder is solvable and the twists are to an extent predictable, you just have to think past the clues you're given and think about everything else

OK, so Chihiro being a boy and Mondo being the killer really took me by surprise. The scenes with Monokuma talking to someone as well as the fanservicey scene with Hina suggest that there's someone who's a traitor.

Also, I can't access the log, but Monokuma says that a girl 'made the first move' iirc. Is he referring to Sayaka's attempt on Leon or something else...?

Not only the Josuke hair, but the gang's even called Crazy Diamond?

Keep giving your thoughts prior to heading into trials. Its fun to read people theories, as sometimes theyre dead on, and sometimes theyre nowhere close, but bring up ideas that Id never even considered.

Well that solves the issue of how she (he?) got into the boys locker room

Okay, so, I'm about to head to trial and want to put some words to paper

Chihiro died in the boys room. Why she was in the boys room is anyone's guess, but she died there and was moved to the girls room. The killer had access to the boys room and was probably male, since he could just use her handbook.

Toko is acting sus and might be genocide jack? But I don't think she's the killer. Chihiro's corpse is missing scissors and used an extension cord, which was found in the library/archive. It's most probably Byakuya, but I'm not 100% willing to bet on it. Theoretically, anyone could have found the file via sheer dumb luck. And if it was him, it would have been easy for him to confirm Toko was indeed Jack due to her crush on him, assuming that she is.

OK, I think I understand. Present affects affinity, affinity has levels and the level-up rewards are fixed.

I had trouble with the comic part, and my timing on the head to head part was a bit off, but otherwise that was so much fun

And the relevations during that trial! Though the fact that the game witholds evidence from you (Sayaka's letter) suggests that I shouldn't think too hard about trying to solve the case before the trial
