I think K2 introduced that, but it's been a while. The game probably looks the same as 0-K2 maybe slightly better, but after going through the remastered collection, I got used to the lower quality. I love the no-loading when entering buildings like K2. Took me 3 months or so to get through Y5. I guess I finally hit a little burn out since there were periods I stopped playing. Kaldrenthebold posted... I really need to get through Y5, I'm about halfway through. I finally got burned out.Thing is, 5 is the largest game in the series by a, wide margin. It's a massive game. It's almost too dense. Quorthon109 posted... I see a lot of people say that 6 is near the bottom of the series for them but I disagree. Its scaled back and theres way less content for a Yakuza game, but I think its also a welcome returned focus on Kiryu after 4 and 5s sprawling stories. Its also fully voice acted, and despite Kiwami 2 expanding on the combat I still prefer 6 in some ways.Eh, kiwami 2 was also the send-off for the proper yakuza games with kiryu, so it was also a sort of greatest hits that had tons of content. It also used the engine better than 6 did. 6 isn't bad, none of the games are, it's just the most scaled back game in the series in terms of combat and content. There's far less to do in 6 than other games. Half of 6 is also spent in a town that is more or less a single street and it's offshoot alleyways with very little side content in it. --- |

Waiting on a sale for like a dragon, and got judgment on sale a while back but hadn't gotten to it yet. Saw the lost judgment trailer and was like oh fuck let me get on the first game. This shit is nice. It's still a yakuza game at heart, but with a darker vibe, some Phoenix Wright style detective stuff, and some really fast, fluid Kung Fu combat to juxtapose the brawler style of kiryu. The flips and shit are just flashy fun. The whole vibe of the thing is just great. The tailing and chasing is repetitive and boring(when is it not in video games?), but it doesn't detract from the rest of the experience being great. It also looks surprisingly great, even compared to yakuza 6 and kiwami/kiwami 2, other dragon engine games. --- |

You'll be floored at how alive and bustling Kamurocho feels in 0(and the rest of the games) compared to Kiwami. You'll also notice that the city ends up being a character itself throughout the games. Once I get full control in each game, I always like to run around the city to see what's changed over the years.That's why kiwami 2 is so, so good, and so much better. Sotenbori and kamurocho feel lively in it, and it feels so seemless when going into buildings and stuff. --- |

I really want judgment next, but I'm waiting on another sale, I'm sure there will be one when lost judgment comes out next month. I'll play like a dragon when it's cheap, I wait for sales on every game, it's not a measure of quality lol. I have no interest in dead souls. --- |

| steveoSEK 07/21/21 6:06:05 AM #24 | I'm kind of torn on how you progress from here. 0 and kiwami 2 are the two best games in the series, with kiwami 2 not only being a remake of 2 in the dragon engine, but also being a sort of greatest hits of the series, it takes a lot of the best stuff in the series and thus kind of becomes the essential yakuza game in almost every way. Yet I don't want you to not play the others either, as they're all good. --- |
