Of course, it's a different question how GameFAQs users see the Fallout games. As for why NV's reputation has changed so much, most of the early complaints had to do with being glitchy (which was solved by later patches and mods). And after Fallout 4 was released, 4 streamlined a lot of the RPG elements, which was fine for casual gamers, but pissed off a lot of hardcore RPG fans who didn't like the direction Bethesda was going and they started championing NV as what Fallout should be like. --- congrats to BKSheikah the BYIG guru |

I can't pretend I'm an expert on fandom, but my impression is that Undertale is one of those "fad" games along with stuff like FNAF, Doki Doki, etc where it gets super popular quickly and attracts a lot of people that are more into it for the community/fanart/memes/etc but then it burns out quickly as well when people get bored and move onto something else. Whereas Hollow Knight is more of a traditional game, where it has a lower peak and you don't see its fan art and cosplay spammed everywhere, but its popularity holds up better long term. --- congrats to BKSheikah the BYIG guru |

MM benefited early on in the match against ALttP from the rally spillover, so I think MM overperformed. I'd expect ALttP to get 54-55 in a rematch today. Outside of that, it looked fine in 2015? ALttP just never has any "wow" matches since it always feeds on fodder before running the Zelda gauntlet and losing to OoT. 2009 also had the 4-way LFF, although ALttP did get to the finals and it handily beat FFVI even with LA in the match. Most people thought Link > Cloud > Snake but because of 4-way shenanigans, Snake beat Cloud twice and thus elevated a small group of people who made this correct call to the top. Some of them took a bunch of risks in the beginning that were possibly wrong but those early risks were worth much fewer points. The thing to keep in mind is that not all risks are the same.
