I think that the chaotics are the posers, unless they've all gone to prison for chaining themselves to trees or murdering babies.

Me, I voted true neutral. I have values and convictions, and I'm happy to espouse them and debate them, but if someone said "shut up or I'll kill you" I'd sure as heck shut up. I'm not going to crusade for my values against my own interests unless very much pressed.

Good call. I've taken a few months (up to six) hiatus from video games before, and I've accomplished impressive things with that time. I have two suggestions to help you succeed in improving your time management:

1. Set up daily/monthly goals so you can have the satisfaction of measurable progress.
2. Develop a framework for how you will spend your time each day. Do it now, while you have motivation. Your motivation will only last for two weeks at most; after that, a framework for your schedule/habits will help keep you on track.

*spoilers*

After two hours of being stuck, unable to find the next location after Sunleth, I am on the verge of hating it more than almost anything. I don't know if this is a bug, or poor design, but being unable to figure out how to go forward after hours of consulting walkthroughs and message boards is one of the most terrible experiences I've ever had in gaming. A cheap fight or a frustrating boss is one thing, but this is a complete structural failure of the game.

Luckily I've got Skyrim, and ME3 on Tuesday, so I guess I'm just going to toss this :/

Hey guys. I just finished Legend of the Galactic Heroes and all the spinoffs worth watching. It was excellent, but now I need moar anime!

I haven't watched a lot of anime. I really liked Legend of the Galactic Heroes, Death Note and Monster. I am looking for a show in the same category as those three. I tried an anime called Mushishi a while back, but I found it too psychadelic and plotless for my liking, so I guess that fits in the "dislike" column, if that helps.

It's a direct sequel, but jumping straight to 2 is a decent idea regardless. 1's pretty outdated, can turn newcomers off the series, and is just a good game rather than the masterpiece that BG2 is. I started with 2, and I'm pretty glad I did. It does a decent job of recapping 1's plot, anyway.

BG2 is superior to the original, but BG is still an excellent game. I don't think that "good" does it justice. It tends to be underrated because its sequel was one of the best games ever forged by mortal hands.

I am slowly playing this game (due to crazy work schedule + TOR), now on Oerba 200 AF, and I just want to say this:

FFXIII-2 is really fun -- much better than FFXIII. I don't see why it has only a 78.5% rating on gamerankings. Lol reviews, I know, but it's not often that I think a game is reviewed like 10% lower than it should be (higher, sure). It wouldn't be an accessible game for anyone who hasn't played FFXIII, but I don't know why such a person would buy this clearly marked sequel anyway. The controls outside of battle are pretty bad for 2012 standards too, but this hasn't damaged my fun much so far. And it is funny that Serah can jump up like a 20 foot slope but can't jump over your average railing. But it has a great encounter system, combat system, leveling mechanic, areas, graphics, and the game starts right away (unlike the 20+ hours of ramp up in FFXIII). And yes, you could fridge logic this plot to death, but time travel is an entertaining idea, and so far nothing jarringly stupid has happened.

Maybe something will happen to make me hate this game later on, but so far the lukewarm reception puzzles me. Final Fantasy hasn't been this much fun for me in ten years.

I didn't think it was the worst episode of the season, but I certainly don't think of it as a great episode. Or even a really good episode. It's just forgettable to me. And I'm a Bangel shipper so I should like it more!

It's hard for me to argue cast either way. The Mass Effect casts are mostly forgettable. Tali and Garrus are by far the best members, and they were in both games, but I liked the developments they had in ME2 better. Props to Wrex from ME1 and Mordin from ME2 as well.

And romance-wise, I was glad they made Garrus romanceable. I enjoyed that much more than the third generation carbon copy of Carth Onasi that they had in ME1.

Better worldbuilding, better environments, stronger narrative, better core cast, more compelling villain, more RPG elements. ME1 has issues, but it functions more like an actual RPG instead of a third-person shooter with a wheel of choices during cutscenes. Item management was crappy and the Mako was a terror, but it had better style than ME2.

Better worldbuilding? ME1 did more worldbuilding by nature of being the first game in the series, so I don't think this is a reasonable point for comparison.

Stronger narrative? This is personal taste, but I will say that I found the story of ME1 to be solid, but very hamhandedly delivered near the end. I preferred the pacing and direction of ME2 even though it was lighter on plot.

More compelling villain? If we're talking Saren vs Harbinger (whether either is really the main antagonist of their respective games is debatable), then I'll take Harbinger any day, especially given how excellently the concept of Harbinger was integrated into combat.

More RPG elements? Most of the problems of ME1 were related to the poor execution of RPG elements. I think that ME2 kept the ones that ME1 did well and pared down the rest. Perhaps it pared them down too much, but I would still say that the quality of RPG elements in ME2 was better than the quantity in ME1.

As for "better style", I just don't see it. ME2 looks so much better than ME1 to me. To each his own.
