Or at least sucked. They bought Knott's here back in 97 and started immediately ripping a lot of the well themed rides out for generic thrill rides. Mind you, when your in the middle of the LA area and Disneyland is right next to you, trying to be a generic amusement park instead of something unique doesn't work and so they've gone back and started re-theming much of the park. Some of the US undertook those measures, that was great. But we have this dumb system where rather than have any federally mandated restrictions can happen we have states that take guidelines from the federal government and then do whatever the fuck they want. So some places made no attempt to flatten the curve. While 15 days to flatten the curve was being promoted, we had a president tweeting "liberate michigan" or whatever. We didn't "stop smoking". We had some people stop smoking and some people decide to start smoking extra to make up for up for it. So yes, we flattened the curve some. But we didn't flatten the curve anywhere near where we needed it to be to stop a coming surge. Was it pointless? No? Did we flatten the curve -some-? Yes.
