| pyresword 04/05/24 12:57:22 AM #166 | I have E2 which definitely helps but Acheron is nuts this Pure Fiction with how fast she can build stacks for her ultimate with the right passive. I 40k'd the Cocolia side with Fu Xuan/Himeko/Sparkle/Acheron. So no Nihility even needed though I guess Himeko does apply debuffs through burns.
I also barely broke 20k on the other side even using Herta but we don't talk about that one. --- I didn't do guru this year but azuarc can be in my sig anyways. |

We are so back I thought this was about the same as the original so far, though I'm not sure how much that says. This episode was always just about establishing the premise when the real meat of the show is when Lawrence and Holo are already traveling together. Personally I'd have told you the next 2 episodes would have been my litmus test for the remake*. Of course, if this was going to be a disaster then we would probably already be able to tell, but there are no signs of that. *If I'm remembering correctly...but it's been a while --- I didn't do guru this year but azuarc can be in my sig anyways. |

I mean I can still clear it fast enough with 2 sustains so I'm not sure how much it matters, but it's a lot closer than it feels like it needs to be. I'm also still pretty close to dying even with 2 sustains.

Not that's it's quite trivialized at this point but I guess I just don't agree with that in general. Other players probably do look at this differently than I do.

Now (E2S1) Acheron at maybe like 75% build progress just allows me to smash it. I did have a hard time hitting weaknesses for stage 12 before this also, but it's still weird to go from struggling to 3-star to getting 9 cycles with what felt like an unimpressive run.

It always felt awkward the way they handled like jumping to Dan Heng's PoV in the Luofu, but this system seems a lot smoother and better thought-out. Hope they continue with stuff like this in the future.
This was easily my favorite story the game has had so far but I also think I wasn't as high on Belobog as a lot of the fanbase. (Which I still would have put at the top prior to this) --- I didn't do guru this year but azuarc can be in my sig anyways. |

Ended up going for Acheron's E2 since I got her and the light cone in way way less pulls than I was originally. Took me another 70 or 80 this time but still got it without losing the 50/50 which I guess technically is the 3rd one I won today >.> Also picked up Gallagher and 3 of his eidolons on the way along with another superimposition level for Good Night and Sleep Well so all in all pretty good. --- I didn't do guru this year but azuarc can be in my sig anyways. |

Pretty good game overall. I do think this is a "greatest strength is also its greatest weakness" situation though. By far the coolest part of the game is the way the story is told nonlinearly from a million different perspectives, since it makes piecing things together and trying to figure out what's going on very exciting. Unfortunately, it also makes it hard for the game to provide huge payback on any particular character, which is an area VN's often excel at. Still definitely a net positive overall though, and the epilogue was quite nice. Hoping more games in the future try an approach like this. Gameplay was fine. The battles were decently fun even if I'd argue there were a bit too many of them. Kisaragi > Shinonome > Ogata > Yuki > Natsuno > Amiguchi > Okino > Juro > Sekigahara > Hijiyama > Gouto > Miura > Fuyusaka > Yakushiji --- I didn't do guru this year but azuarc can be in my sig anyways. |
