Depends on play style.

Pierce shots up and special ammo boost both buff your dragon piercer, which is the strongest move you can use regardless of terrain.

The jumping shot has insane damage though, so if you plan on using that a lot, you could try airborne for the buff to jump damage. Spread shots up would boost this too if you plan on using these a lot, but it's so situational its probably not worth the investment on a general set.

Focus is nice as well. Marathon runner will deplete stamina slower while charging. Stamina surge will replenish it faster. In older games i dont think constitution actually affected bow charges but it could be different now/i could be wrong. It would i think affect your dash charges though, which are very nice.

Other than that, same as everything else. Weakness exploit, attack boost, agitator, crit boost if you can afford it.

Theres a new hammer mechanic now thats easy to miss. Start charging and press circle (on ps4, dunno what the xbox is). It stores the energy into the hammer. It will glow a bit. Gives a minor buff to damage, knockout damage, and changes your charge moves. Also provides minor flinch protection from monster attacks. Lasts until you sheathe your weapon or you get flinched/knocked down/sent flying.

You should keep this up all the time. You dont have to do a full charge, you can press circle right away

Once you get to high rank, you can upgrade the ore gunlance to high rank very quickly and get blue sharpness to help upgrade other stuff. The rathian gunlance will be great the whole game

I can demonstrate good gunlancr technique sometime

In short, your highest dps combo is the upswing -> slam -> fullburst -> swipe

From the swipe you can quick reload and reset your combo or evade or do a stake depending on the situation

If you dont want to chew through your sharpness, skip the burst

This is assuming youre using a normal gunlance btw. Long gunlance bursts do okay, but dont bother with wide

The swipe is stupidly strong if you can land it on a weak point

Would you say using a longsword with an element plus element damage boosting armor is better than just one with higher attack?

Historically, no. But there are a lot of variables. I would prioritize raw boosting skills (attack up or affinity boosts) or stuff that helps with sharpness (handicraft primarily, but speed sharpening can also be good) over element for long sword. But if youre in low rank it doesnt matter much.

Element is weird. Also attack values are convoluted a little bit. All the displayed numbers on stats pages are inflated for no real reason other than "big numbers look cool"

Element and status values are inflated by a flat 10x mod (so 100 fire damage is actually 10 fire damage). raw damage numbers are inflated by numbers that vary by what weapon youre using. I dont remember specifics anymore but generally the slower a weapon attacks the bigger the modifier will be (so hammer and greatsword have very large displayed attack numbers)

Per hit, damage you do is divided by something called a motion value. Basically, every attack has a specific motion value. Generally, the quicker an attack is the lower the motion value will be. So, just making numbers up, a single sword and shield attack might have a motion value of 10, meaning you do 10 percent of your true damage value. A fully charged greatsword attack might have a motion value of 90, meaning you do 90 percent of your attack value.

Element generally is unaffected by motion value (some exception) and each hit does the true element damage value (so every sword and shield hit with 100 fire damage will deal 10 fire damage, before resistances are taken into affect), whereas a hammer with 200 fire will do 20 fire per hit. But because hammer hits much slower, sword and shield ends up doing far more element damage over time and benefits far more from having element. Status does the full status value every time it procs, but every hit wont proc the status. I think its something like a 33% chance to trigger but im not certain. So again, weapons that hit quicker will apply far more status than slower weapons

And then on top of all of this, there are monster hitzones that further divide your damage output. You can find those on websites like kiranico (mhworld.kiranico.com). Raw weakspots are almost always (very few exceptions) greater than element weakzones, which means raw damage accounts for the bulk of your output. For example, most weakspots have hitzones of 60 to 80 (meaning you do that percent of your damage after all the prior calculations are done), whereas the best element weakzones are typically 40 .

In short, element is best served on weapons that attack quickly with low motion values (sword and shield, dual blades, insect glave), and the slower, heavier hitting weapons benefit most from having higher raw values.

Also, sharpness further affects damage calculation but the tldr is that at yellow sharpness or lower you do less damage

There are plenty of plastic surgeons in rural areas who are the only options for sexual reassignment.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Complete bullshit.

Here, I googled a list of surgeons who offer transgender surgeries in the United States and Canada:

http://www.tssurgeryguide.com/SRS-Surgeon-Ratings.html

Now, quick note, about half of the listed surgeons don't even do genital surgery. These are people who perform some transgender surgeries, like mastectomy for trans men, who are presumably supportive, but just don't offer that surgery--I'm guesing they feel they don't have the expertise. Counting only the ones that provide genital surgeries looks like there are 11 genital surgeons in the United States and Canada. 11. Eleven. E-le-ven. According to this list, these surgeons are concentrated in 5 states and 1 province. So...according to this list, there are 45 states and 9 provinces with zero surgeons that do this surgery.

(To be clear, I'm not saying this number needs to be higher or anything. Canada seems ok with a single genital surgeon serving the entire country, and Canada has a decent record on trans human rights).

People generally travel to get these surgeries done. Even ftm top surgery. Even if there's someone close by, people prefer to go to one with better reviews. You can only get this stuff done once.
