I just got into it about 3-4 months back. Someone gave me a heads up on the free Ash Prime (still haven't gotten mine) so I was just going to put it on just to get the freebee and ended up watching the whole live stream and getting pretty pumped for it.

It's crazy this is a free to play game.

DE was incredible 11 years ago with Dark Sector. Warframe is even more so.

If you're interested in DE's history, there's a fantastic NoClip documentary that came out a few months ago.

I think I'll give Warframe a second chance on Switch. Tried it about three years ago after hearing "it has microtransactions, but you can easily earn everything", and was turned off when it was quickly revealed to not be the case. Maybe it's changed now.

You can earn everything in game for free, this has always been the case. The only thing locked behind a paywall are cosmetics, and even then, you can trade stuff you get in game for the premium currency, so cosmetics can be had for free that way.

It gets weekly updates and overhauls every few months. The game is completely different from when you played.\

EDIT: One of those overhauls was the movement system.

They fall into three categories
1- Salty they're getting the game instead of another one
2- They played it when it first came out and still think it's the same game
3- They never played it and are listening to group 2 because it falls in line with the narrative they want to believe.
