Enemies drop loot. Use the machine override, a major mechanic which ins introduced through a cutscene and a mandatory storyline mission. Buy maps from the merchant. I guess this could be considered hidden if you never look at anything the merchants sell. Make lure and stealth kill your first two skills. This is probably good advice, but how the hell is the skill tree a hidden, unexplained mechanic? I shit you not, this tip is "merchants sell stuff." If an item's only use is "sell for money," it turns out that its only use is to sell it for money. He explains the hidden dodge roll mechanic which takes up an entire button and is explained in the tutorial. He just explains how status effects work in this game. Each merchant has one free sample item box. Again, I guess this is considered hidden if you just never look at what they sell. Use the hidden focus mechanic which is the first skill you acquire in the game.
