Did you encounter it on your first visit to the crossroads? Its a boss that's usually meant for later in the game, though even still it can be hard to react to the attacks till you get used to it

This is a good point too. You can get to him with some creative platforming, but he's meant to be fought after you get a traversal upgrade.

Yeah, he's definitely one of the more mid-tier bosses. There's a reason some people call HK a Soulslike.

That said, there is one trick that makes Mawlek much easier and would make it much harder without realizing that trick. If you stick to the sides of the central platform, he can't hit you with most of his attacks.

There's an area and item later in the game that will reset Alexander's aggro towards you. Just be careful about attacking NPCs, a safe rule is to never attack them unless they're already trying to kill you.

Unlocking Roundtable Hold "early" doesn't fuck anything up. I'm not even convinced you did unlock it early, Melina tells you to go there pretty soon as I recall.

You are in no way OP. You've likely gotten better at fighting the enemies in Limgrave and possibly overleveled them a little, but you will almost assuredly get your shit kicked in if you try anything more difficult.

Be careful about what you sell. Crafting materials are fine, but a lot of items in this game are unique and you cannot get them back if you sell them.

I'm sure he doesn't expect to win, but just being involved and bringing up his points means his opponents have to talk about them too.

It's the out-of-sight-out-of-mind idea. There's a reason the food companies put the label on the back.

It's just starting stats and equipment. You can gain stats in any way you want. I stuck with dex/int as a prisoner, but a streamer I watched started as the same class and ended up going faith/arcane.

The only thing I might recommend is that you not go prisoner because they start with six faith instead of seven like the other classes. There are a couple of useful utility faith spells that require twelve faith and you can hit that with a +5 faith talisman in those situations.
