I know of a niche game's wiki leaving fandom bc fandom is just that bad.

Not just niche games. I know WoW (along with Hearthstone), Hollow Knight, and Terraria all did it. Googling just now led me to a reddit topic where it talks about Zelda doing it and also mentions that Runescape and Path of Exile did it.

The ways ghouls "work" have changed over the course of the Fallout series, and this is probably one the least drastic things they've done. The Fallout show takes place after all the games, so I don't think it's that far fetched to believe that someone either eventually developed a new drug or maybe discovered a side effect of an existing one to help stave off the feral condition

Their is a theory that it is rad-x, slowing down the effects of radiation in their brain. You are right in that there is no specific thing in how they work and feralism can happen at anytime. Maybe it could also be that once the drug is taken you have to be on it constantly or the withdraws can make you feral. I am now no longer against it and excited to see where it goes.

Yeah, it's definitely something they could explain, but the show presents it as just a natural fact of ghouls. And Cooper himself has presumably been one for two hundred years.

And I don't buy the Rad-X/Radaway theory because Maximus' squire friend gets turned into a ghoul by taking the drug.

I've not played NV, but doesn't the Legion also crucify people?

I think there are only two things that really contradict the games, but I haven't played NV myself, so maybe I've missed something.

One is that there's a date of a major event which contradicts the events of NV pretty hard, but it's not the first time a series has fucked up a timeline by accident and I think there's some possible ambiguity as to what happened in that year.

The other is that ghouls just don't work that way. In the show, they all need a special drug to keep them from going feral. In the games, they can go for centuries and be fine, it's just luck of the draw.

I think they're parasitic. All they actually contribute is a hosting service and apocalyptic amount of ads. The community does all of the work and Fandom doesn't give a fuck about them.

I imagine acquiring GameFAQs was part of the GameSpot deal, but they don't actually want to pay to manage it so they're trying to drive enough people away to justify pulling the plug.

People keep saying this, but I don't see why they'd bother to do all this chicanery. If they wanted to pull the plug, they'd just do it.

I mentioned this in the discord earlier, but I think they don't understand that the boards help support the guides. How many people are coming to this site exclusively to write guides? You already don't get a ton of new ones written for new games. Baldur's Gate 3 was massively popular and it has one walkthrough, a guide for each class all written by the same person, and one more druid guide.

Most people who want to do that kind of work aren't going to come to GameFAQs, write the guide, and then leave. They're going to make a video and post it on Youtube. Killing the boards cannibalizes the point of the site.

I'm sorry, but this is no way to run a site, dude. You need to clearly establish the rules BEFORE you start taking action against your users. Otherwise it creates confusion within the community and disdain for the management. Officially, hornyposting is not against the rules as they are, nor has it been defined. So why are so many people being modded for it?

Her design is just so great.

Shame she's kinda lackluster in the game. Easily the weakest of the stalker enemies in the series. Her castle is just too open and there are too many places she can't enter for her to be a proper threat.

I didn't go to college, but I had an online friend who got an engineering degree and he showed me a few classes.

I'm glad to see that the trend of high-level college courses being taught by dudes with thick accents continues with this video <_<

It doesn't do nearly enough with the time looping mechanic, the levels don't change enough at different times of day to justify there only being four of them, and the enemies aren't smart or interesting enough to justify there only being one enemy type.

I don't know how the process works beyond a shallow understanding, but it seems suspicious that such a thing can happen unintentionally.

Maybe I'm just naive or don't know how these things work, but my thought was that whatever Chinese studio they outsourced to outsourced it to NK.

Oh, believe me, a lot of people pointed out that these guys first got big on Buzzfeed Unsolved, sitting in a concrete room and using colored text on a black screen.

I typed the first two suggestions out before realizing you probably included Batman villains, not just the actual Batman character but whatever <_<

Arkham Asylum: Living Hell is centered on Warren White, an investor who embezzled billions of dollars from pension and insurance funds, who gets the bright idea to have his trial transferred to the notoriously corrupt Gotham and go for an insanity defense. The furious judge sentences him to indefinite treatment in Arkham Asylum. It's got a big plot, but I just quite enjoyed seeing the inner workings of Arkham.

Gotham Central, as you might expect, focuses on the GCPD and how a police department works when a dude in a bat costume occasionally leaves criminals chained to a lamp post.

Moving away from Batman entirely, Whatever Happened To The Man Of Tomorrow is a Superman story. A reporter interviews Lois for a story on Superman's last days since she was the last person to see him before he disappeared ten years ago.

Lex Luthor: Man of Steel is probably a pretty standard Superman story: Lex Luthor has some dastardly plot to kill Superman, Superman has to stop it. The twist here is that you're seeing it from Lex's perspective. Really good insight into how delusional he is about Superman. If you like this one, I do recommend the Joker series that Foppe recommends. They're written by the same guy.

Superman: Red Son is an Elseworlds story similar to Marvel's What If? series. This one's a "What if Superman's ship crash landed in Soviet Russia?" Kal-L becomes a champion of communism and America still hates communism.

They're claiming they don't make enough money from YouTube so they're moving to a subscription service. Fans point out that they only release a few videos a month and have a studio in Hollywood with 25 employees.

Yeah, I've never watched these guys, but I love some harmless internet drama and apparently their fans were pissed. They lost 100k subscribers over the weekend.

And apparently this announcement coincided with an announcement that they're doing their own version of a Buzzfeed show called Worth It where they compared food dishes from cheap, midrange, and expensive restaurants. I'm seeing more than a couple complaints on their subreddit about them claiming poverty while doing a series where "Steve eats thousand dollar gold-sprinkled steak."
