The "shit world with glimmers of hope" are pretty much nonexistent this time around. Even the positive feelings of the flashbacks were always undercut in some fashion. It just wasn't an enjoyable experience. I've been reading different views and opinions and, barring the extremes of each side, I think they're both "right" to a degree. --- |

I overcame it after a few minutes and pushed through. Then I get to the Brittle Hollow. All is well, I make several trips there exploring. Then i misstep and fall into the black hole. Fine im dead. A little panic but no biggie. Except the black hole shoots me into the void of space far away from everything. I feel an overwhelming sense of dread and immediately turn the game off. Funny enough, the show Red Dwarf is what triggered my phobia as a child and I'd forgotten about it til now. --- |

I wouldn't recommend it, but would lend my copy if someone I knew showed interest. It's fairly simple in terms of game play mechanics and task structuring, but I found myself playing it for hours every day until I finished it. I don't know if I'll ever play it again, but I feel more than satisfied with the time I invested in it. --- |
