Since being laid off, I've gotten an offer for a job making more money, but I'm afraid to take it because I don't know the environment or the people. Before things started to spiral, I was cautiously optimistic considering the situation, but seeing the deaths climb day after day just starts the cycle all over again. --- |

I've always been introverted anyway so I'm not out in public much, but that "what if" has a firm grasp and its hard to shake. Not only that, but my job hasn't given any indication that it'll be back any time soon. I've received a different offer, but I don't know how much I'm willing to jump into the uncertainty of a new place when I was just getting comfortable at the current one. *sigh* humaning sucks /blogfaqs --- |

The people acting all hysterical and buying up everything in sight are idiots, but the people who say it's nothing to worry about are equally as bad. I think it should be approached with optimistic caution. As I'm young and fairly healthy, I'm not overly concerned, but my parents are pretty much the ideal candidates for getting wrecked by it so I'm more vigilante for their sakes. --- |
