So far the most fun thing is the music-themed scavenger hunt, but since you have to install and run games to guess, and the system is clearly swamped right now, I think I'll wait.

Oh I got real mad at Jak 1 the last time I played it. That double-jump is miserable!

Nine Years of Shadows
I was able to run this one. It seems reasonably good as a Metroidvania but with some caveats. The map screen was severely low on details and I think I encountered like one save point. Not sure where I would have respawned had I died before it. The visuals do look nice though. I may have reached the end of the demo but it crashed after a boss so I'm not sure I did.

Genre: Metroidvania-ish
I liked what I saw from this in a Nintendo Direct a while ago. The theme is uh, somethingpunk and the titular weapon, a gun with an umbrella mounted is the star of the show. It serves an array of functions, firing as multiple types of gun, propelling our hero through the air via gliding and directional airdash, sliding along midair tracks for further mobility, and blocking/parrying enemy projectiles. I like the gameplay more than anything else currently, but I'm still looking forward to the full version.

Crash is rough. It's got the NES approach to difficulty, in a 3D platformer with digital movement control, and I do not enjoy it.

Sly 1 is an all-time great, for sure. And Ratchet never dropped platforming entirely. It ebbed and flowed with maybe Deadlocked being the non-spinoff low point. The newest one has straight-up pure platforming mini-areas like Mario, although I don't recall them ever being all that tough. You could say Sly 2 and 3 have less of a platformer identity than most of the main R&Cs.

I don't know why but it made it somewhat harder to breathe and it was uncomfortable to wear for an extended time for that reason. But I was already dealing with various long-term physiological symptoms and probably wouldn't have had any trouble otherwise.

I hadn't been. It seems not that many people do anymore in most public places and so if I didn't have one on me for the grocery store I eventually stopped worrying about it. I was still wearing it to doctors' offices. But now I have covid so I will be in general, once I'm ready to go out at all.

LBP is widely regarded as a weak platformer. I don't think it is that bad, but the focus is game creation and I think Mm improved on it by removing all the limits with Dreams.

I dearly love Ape Escape, Ratchet, Sly and Spyro. You can argue Ratchet stopped being primarily a platformer a while ago, but out of those series it's the one that's alive.

I remember it being described as not running well on anything, so maybe the miracle is relative to that.
