I was a stay at home dad while my ex worked and then after she left, looked after my daughter the majority of the time from birth to 3 years old. Now she's 7 and lives with her mother but I still see her regularly.

I'm good with babies in general, spent a lot of time babysitting an ex's kid and I was good at settling my niece on a family holiday.

Like I said I make music and make it available for sale. I wouldn't say that I deserve to be paid for my work so I'm not going to say that others do.

I don't think it should be like that for creative works. If someone is making a film or an album with a crew of people employed then those involved should be paid at the time of production. Making a profit from the final product is different and not inherently deserved. I do think that there should be UBI so that people can work on things like art and still be able to live decently.

I make art that barely anyone likes, I still spend a lot of time on it and get stressed out and tired from it. I don't deserve to be paid for it.

No you don't. No one deserves money for their creative work. People can give you money if they think it's good enough, that's it.

I've spent so much of my life working on music and releasing albums online, I've had barely any sales and I don't think I deserve to be paid for it. But it's certainly nice when someone does pay.

Started talking to someone in February last year, started a relationship in March, proposed in June, been living together since November.

I was a regular reader all through my childhood and teenage years then it all came to a halt, just got back into reading around the beginning of last year. So I'll rec some books that sparked my interest again

Two books by Neil Gaiman, technically kids books but they were very fun to read - Coraline and The Graveyard Book.

The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch by Philip K. Dick. Clicked with me immediately, tale of mind altering drugs, multiple realities and a strange depressing future. I didn't expect it to be so easy to read given the subject matter.

I used to be one of those people, I don't think I had bad intentions it was more a case of finding it hard to comprehend an alternate point of view. But I was in the wrong.

Having kids was something I always wanted, more than anything else in my life. So the idea that there would be people out there who would be totally opposed seemed hard to believe.

I try to be more respectful of people's opinions and feelings now, especially when it comes to women. There's no right or wrong way to feel on the matter of wanting kids and no one should feel pressured into it.

I'm engaged to and living with a parent. I'm very happy and now I feel like I've got two daughters instead of one. Our kids get along great and I bonded with my fiance's daughter near instantly. I read her a bedtime story every night, take her to school, play games with her and generally do dad stuff.

Her dad makes sporadic appearances in her life but it is too obsessed with his job and money to bother being a proper parent.

Some people here have very sad and very foolish views on single parents.

Really? I don't see that as true. A big chunk of the die hard Trump supporters I see online are young, usually anime fans and often incels as well. It's very easy for maladjusted youths to get sucked into extreme ideology.
