Lately I've been very into comic books, she's not into that but we still chat about amusing/weird stuff I come across. No interest in wrestling either. We both play games sometimes together but she prefers platformers and I'm into rpgs. I watch a lot of strange films and horrors, she prefers animation and family films. But we both love Studio Ghibli. It's the best relationship I've ever had, big thing is that even though we have different interests we're both respectful of those differences and give each other opportunity to enjoy our different interests. As opposed to previous relationships I've had where I've been mocked or belittled for my interests.

I just enter in the shows I am interested in, and add them to my list. Netflix's algorithm then finds everything related to it as a suggestion for me, and I add what I like. It's a very simple process.

Most of the time I try using Netflix my list isn't even available to view.

I've long felt that if I had an opportunity to write and direct a Godzilla movie, I'd aim for a realistic and somber tone -- like as if the movie were directed by John Carpenter, Ridley Scott, or James Cameron. I'd want it to be about the human characters, and how they react to the walking natural disaster(s), with a central protagonist on the same wavelength as Alien's Ripley or The Thing's MacCready.

So the original Godzilla from 1954 then?

I made toad in the hole with mashed potato and gravy. Then I watched the first Godzilla film from the 50s and wrote a blog post about my plans to go through the whole franchise. I'm going without my antipsychotic tonight because my doctor didn't sign the prescription until after the pharmacy had closed, despite it being due several days ago. That's making me feel super stressed and anxious, not sure how I'll sleep without it or how weird I'll feel in the morning. So now I'm just going to read comics and try not to get attacked by our cat, he's in a weird mood tonight.

you said "your opinion sucks"

and i responded

what i said was pretty clear

You keep arguing that box office is an indication of quality and i'm disagreeing

pretty simple what don't you understand?

All I'm saying is, you show you know nothing of the big picture of cinematography as clearly shown by your disgusting and nonsensical elitist argument, and people voted against you with their wallets saying it's a top 5 movie of all time, so your opinion, and mindset as a whole, needs to go away entirely. Fuck your antiquated elitism, and fuck your lack of understanding of what makes films "good".

this is hilarious, you don't have a fucking clue about films, going to assume you're still a teenager

Director vision is a problem in book to film adaptations 9 out of 10 times.

Mainly he is complaining that marvel figured out how to successfully adapt their comic books into films by watering down director vision.

Thing is, what he discusses is not a problem but a plus.

If not for this, the mcu would have failed and not exist.

But to say these have no vision is sooo wrong.

The original comics writer is the real director here.

Well this is a load of crap. Marvel movies are watered down visually dull crap with none of the excitement, wonder or strong characters of actual comic books.

The Resident Evil films are all good to great, particularly the Paul W.S Anderson directed films.

Alien vs Predator is the best film in either franchise.

Terrence Malick's To The Wonder is one of the greatest films of all time.

The Exorcist 2 is a better film than The Exorcist, even if it's not a great horror film.

Christopher Nolan has only made one decent film, Memento.
