Played 4 hours finished route A.

Gonna wait to play route B til after the weekend. I wish the game warned you there was a point of no return..part of the reason it took so long is because I ran out of large heals. The bullet hell part took me an hour + because I couldn't make a single mistake.

So in regards to route A ending *spoiler*

What do I need to do to advance the story?

It says something about aiding Missile, but I can't find It on the map. Is it back at HQ?

I have 4 main missions left as 2B thinking of finishing that tonight, and starting the next part of the story.

Is that possible? It's a little after 4:00, and I probably won't stay up past 10:00 or so.

All weapons can be upgraded to level 4. I think I mostly stuck with the default light sword and sometimes switched to bracers, but I'm pretty sure they're all viable. It's not a particularly difficult game unless you're playing on Very Hard, where it seems to be more about memorizing patterns and dodging well than anything else.

As for level, I'd say as long as you aren't having trouble with killing enemies, you should be okay. I don't remember what level I was around the forest but I think it was just a little higher than you, but not by much.

Just found the weapon sharperner and got my virtuous contract to level 3 and Dragoon Lance to 2.

So I'm in the forest village..what level should I be?

I'm at 16, but the enemies aren't too much trouble. Also what's the max level weapon? I just found a Dragoon Lance and I'm using that.

If you continue the main quest after you talked to the couple at the coast area you cant continue the couples quest anymore.

I don't think I've done that yet.

I needed to find the deserters and bring them back to Yohra. I'll have to check if that's the couples quest.

So I couldn't figure out how to get back to the resistance camp after the village.

Reloaded my save..apparently there's a box I can push that connects the area. 9s didn't trigger the dialogue earlier and I must have missed it.

I have a feeling there's a theme of death and reality? The existentialism bot got me thinking the enemy character design's seem kind of friendly, maybe YoKhra are the bad guys?.

Amusement park boss and entered the village. Boss took me several attempts at level 10. Damn that was hard.

You have to head to the base to finish or begin certain quests. But it won't always be at the base. And yes, you will get fast travel. It'll be a little while until then though.

Does fast travel carry over to the other routes?

There are a lot of pretty bland sidequests. But sometimes the stories make it worth it. You can look on the map for "current destination" to advance the story. The icon is hard to miss. Though sometimes you have to leave the current area to trigger it.

So when do I have to head to base? Just to buy things?

That's what I've been doing. Also do you get a fast travel to specific pods later on?

I just started it finished the tutorial (had to play it twice).

It seems like there's going to be a major theme of death, and the idea of just getting a new body everytime you die. Or am I wrong?
