The prosecution is finished with witness testimony for today. Judge Juan Merchan is now addressing the jury.
As Merchan read his lengthy instructions to the jury about avoiding news coverage and discussing the case, Trump was in a full conversation with Bove.
Merchan paused and said to them, "You done?"

One of Donald Trump's attorneys, Todd Blanche, is raising three issues with the judge:
renewed motion for a mistrial
to preclude Karen McDougal from testifying
an issue having to do with the gag order related to Stormy Daniels.
Judge Juan Merchan says the trial will break at 4 p.m. ET, and they will take it up then after the jury leaves.

Prosecutors introduce a second Trump book
Prosecutors have now moved on to another Trump book, "Trump: Think like a Billionaire: Everything You Need to Know About Success, Real Estate, and Life."
"When youre working with a decorator make sure to ask to see all the invoices," a portion of the book's text reads.
"Decorators are by nature honest people, but you should be double-checking regardless," the text continues.

Maybe his lawyers told him if he had to go to jail for contempt, he wouldn't have access to his makeup and have to go out in public without it to attend the trial.

I used to work in hotels. People would book rooms on third-party sites like Booking.com with stolen cards to test them. They would never show up and usually the credit cards declined when managers try to charge them for no-shows.

We would also get people who do a scam where they tried to trick you to put in a "manual authorization" to override a declined card. They would have an accomplice call your hotel claiming to be their bank. They also might hand you their cell phone and claim it was their bank on the phone.
