This is the guy who thought it was a good idea for California to no longer make it a felony if you deliberately infected someone with HIV like this. Let's see if he still feels that way.

Several gay members suggested that lowtides is a troll meant to make gays look bad.

One user said to him, "I am gay, and I still don't even like you . No one does.". It was harsh when they said that. The guy needs to call others homophobic, but when the gay community itself tells lowtides, "we don't want you," where can he go?

That's fine. They could even make Hal Jordan gay for Batman, which might be an interesting subplot. The only criticism I have is that they did not choose Guy Gardner (my favorite Lantern) or John Stewart (the one most younger people know).

I don't see why it would be necessary to make an established character gay just because of the actor's sexual orientation.

Isn't that an overreaction? You aren't guaranteed to get the condition. Additionally, people can survive with it now. There's no need for too aggressive of a punishment.
